Michael has the last eight years struggling with Alzheimer’s, but there is one thing he will always remember: he loves his wife.
Michael recently proposed to his wife Linda. He forgot they had already been married for 34 years. Linda said, “I could see he was trying to ask me something, but he just couldn’t quite get the words out. So, I held his hand and asked him ‘what is it my darling? What are you trying to tell me?’ He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, ‘will you marry me?’" Michael usually struggles remembering day-to-day events so Linda was shocked when he remembered he had proposed for an entire week! Then on the day of the ceremony, Michael woke up and said ‘today’s the day’ and he was so happy.
