#GoodNews: Tornado Transports Precious Quilt Unharmed

A tornado tore through Tennessee on Easter, destroyingBeulah Lockmiller’s Chattanooga home. Afterward, a dresser containing an irreplaceable military quilt representing her late husband, Larry’s, 30 years of service in the Army National Guard was missing. But thanks to the kindness of strangers, it has been returned.

The family searched all around to see if it had been blown nearby, but had no luck. They put out a request on Facebook and Shared a photo of the quilt. Eventually, a woman and her son found it and got it back to Beulah’s family.

“This has been a little light in the darkness,” her granddaughter, Loren Lockmiller, explains. “A pleasant surprise.”
